Fortune Africa Women 40 Under 40

The Fortune Africa board today released the FAW 40 list which is the inaugural Fortune Africa Women 40 Under 40 Edition, a celebration of 40 exceptional African women under the age of 40 who are shaping industries, influencing global conversations, and redefining leadership across the continent.

Spanning East, West, Southern, and North Africa, this carefully curated list highlights women who are driving innovation, building institutions, and leading change across sectors such as business, tech, media, policy, health, and education.

Commenting on the significance of the list, Sierra Leone-based women’s advocate Janet Ricketts said:

“This list is more than recognition — it’s a signal to the world that Africa’s future is female, and that future is already here.”

The 40 Under 40 – Women’s Edition is part of Fortune Africa’s ongoing commitment to spotlight African excellence and build platforms that empower the continent’s next generation of game-changers.
